some mornings C heads out a second before the boys

some mornings C heads out a second before the boys and I to take the trash out. then, as we wait out front, Benjamin has an existential crisis trying to figure out if he will appear from our apartment's door or from around the side of the building.

& every time Ben catches a glimpse of him it's the same reaction: COMPLETE PUPPY GLEE with a tick tock tail 🐾

finally got a good video of this moment that's "normal" and "routine" in our lives, but still overwhelmingly special 🤍

feeling Iike I'm in a very New Moon phase of my life. feeling quiet, reflective, ready for personal growth that is imminent. I love a New Moon. the deep, calming breath before some new releases. maybe it's just that my fiery Aries Moon & Rising like the challenge and balance of a calmer space. or maybe my Scorpio Sun & stellium like the deep introspection and internal work that happens. either way, breathe in - breathe out - breathe even - embracing this moment 🌑

my starter is currently a little sad after being neglected to the back of the fridge for (I'm ashamed to say) over a month. can you still use a #starter that's been left that long? depending on the age/strength, yes! when I opened up the starter there was no bacteria overgrowth and even with the alcohol smell that comes with making hooch (dark liquid at the top of hungry starter) it still had that beautiful yeast smell. trust your nose! 🤗 or send me a photo in the DMs!
